Seriously, don't buy Fifa '07 for the 360. They are trying to rip you off. Have a look at this page here. Notice something? The 360 version of the game features teams from only seven leagues. The PC, PS2 and Xbox versions come with all the teams from all the leagues (teams from 28 leagues if I'm not mistaken). For god's sake, even the Nintendo DS version offers you a selection of 22 leagues. So what's going to happen? I'd like to bet: it's not that they couldn't include the other teams and leagues because of a time-issue, but because they want you to buy those teams and additional stadiums as a downloadable Content-Pack. Cash-cow baby.

May I ask what the Champions League mode is going to look like in this game? You start in the semi-final?

Better luck next year, EA.

    Argh I said it

This is probably the most simplistic and funny web-game, I've ever seen! It's named Smack the pingu! and its rules are simple:

1. Click the mouse once, and the penguin will jump off the rock.
2. Click the mouse again, and Yeti will strike the penguin to get him flying as far as possible.

321.1 is my record till now

Got Road Kill for the xBox. Don't buy this one, this game sucks!

It's basically a mixture between "Mad Max" and "GTA", with weapon-cars in a outland-city. The steering feels very strange, e.g. I'm not able to turn left in a proper way. Hence it's not really easy to shoot your enemies, which is actually the goal of this game. Graphics are rather outdated, everything seems dull and there's nothing shiny around.

Didn't play it any further, it's just too boring. A NO-BUY.
I did it.

I bought a PlayStation 2 game. Not only that, I also bought additional PS2 hardware. I thought that wouldn't happen anymore since I got my xBox sometime ago.

The reason: Only with the PS2, you're able to play EA's latest games online. Sony's online gaming service is even for free, which is another big plus.

After playing NFS half the day, I'm already addicted. It's flashy, colorful and highspeed. In the beginning it feels like you don't have any control, but pretty soon you will recognize it's just NFS-style. Get used to it, otherwise you will miss this great title

Online gaming? It's the best. After some problems with the configuration (the menu is just misleading) everything worked fine and we were connected in just a few seconds. As you could change the style of your car in any (really: any) way you could imagine, every race is just amazing: You pretty much never see the exact same cars again.

Gotta play... byebye.

This is one hell of a racing game

Actually, it's not racing, it's rallying - and that's what Colin McRae is famous for. It seems to be a very experienced (indeed, it is: version no. 4), well-balanced piece of software. Beginners will learn to handle the car very quickly and experts will have fun cutting the edges and finding the best way on the track for weeks.

For those, who know the rally part of Gran Turismo 3: It feels like that, just polished and kinda "on-steroid".

I just came back from the gas station, where i bought some drinks and snacks for the night. Just then, I saw the latest "ComputerBild-Spiele" issue. It's a cheap magazine (2.90 euros), which belongs to the Axel Spring Press ("Die Bild").

The headline caught my eyes: "Anstoss 3 Vollversion", a complete copy of the famous soccer manager included "for free". 5 seconds later, I paid the magazine and left the station. This is just too great! If you're a fan of soccer management simulations, GET THIS ONE! It keeps you bound to your PC for nights and weeks. Even better: In the next issue, there's a copy of "Anstoss Action", a soccer game, where you could play and take control of the team, which you formed in Anstoss 3!

Have fun,
In a message on the halflife2.net forum, Gabe Newell confirmed, that the Half-Life 2 source code was stolen from their servers and got released on the net. As you can imagine, he's really disappointed now, and he begs the users to help tracking this issue down.

Anyways: I'm pretty sure that Half-Life gets one of the greatest games ever. It's graphics and interaction just sets new standards for the genre. Buy this one!

On the other hand, it would be just too thrilling to see the sourcecode of this game. Not for stealing it or anything like that: Just for the plain fun of reading it!

Maybe Valve is really cool, trying to get the best out of the situation: Make it Opensource! I'm quite sure there's not the whole stuff out there to re-compile the whole game (think of all the game data and so on), besides that: No-one would try to compile and sell it afterwards. No-one could be that dumb.

So, just think of all the great opensource extensions to this game... People helping you fixing bugs for free, and still everybody agrees with the fact, that you're selling and getting money for this product, since you did most of the work, the design, the graphics, the marketing, and so on and on an on

Valve, I'd like to thank you for this game, no matter how you're going to handle this tough situation!

    Yeah!

After one week, amazon finally did it and my new xBox controller arrived. It's a BigBen XS Pad, which actually got the size of Microsoft's small pad. It costs half the money of the original, offers great handling and has just the right size (reminds me of my favourite controllers, the good old PS2 pads).

Finally, the Linux version got updated, too.
Okay, don't really want to blame Microsoft for that one, but this still is unbelievable:

I just played EA's Tiger Woods 2k3 and made the perfect round:

- Earned Eagle Extravaganza Trophyball for 4 Eagles in one round
- 16 Birdies ->in a row<-
- 50000$ of extra money

I just played the ball for my 17th Birdie as the game crashed. Can't read disc. Please clean.

Clean what? You mean after I ejected the CD and broke it in millions of pieces?
Yeah, I'll clean that one later.

Tell me please: a CD-ROM is a _R_ead _O_nly _M_emory device, which means: If the CD is dirty, tell the game to wait, let the user clean the CD and then play on.
But no, Microsoft had to implement a Bluescreen (tm) in the xBox Framework, too.

Thanks.

As you may have read in my last blog, I'm back on PC gaming since I have installed my new Geforce 4800. Luckily, there's a great new game out, named Enemy Territory. The best about it: It's a multiplayer-only game and totally free.

Setting all options to their highest values the game is running absolutely smooth. The Linux version offers an Install Anywhere assitant, which makes the installation as easy as possible.

Look out for a covert ops named "muesli"... might be standing right behind you

Here's a little review!
