Fascinating. I would be interested in seeing what group they used to test this theory on. I suspect that while those taught under whole language (like myself) would have to problem reading and understanding your post, those who were taught, and rely upon phonics would go nuts. I believe that this combined with the fact that we've gotten used to reading typos online contributes to this phenomena.
