NVidia's libGL.la Problem

Compiling recent kdebase, I noticed that my libGL.la was broken. Libtool complained: libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libGL.la' is not a valid libtool archive

This is a problem the nvidia-installer seems to cause. It's really easy to fix. Edit your /usr/lib/libGL.la, and replace the line:

# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.5

with

# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.5 (for use by libtool)

libtool greps for "^# Generated by .*libtool" before using .la files.

Now thats useful information! I had the same problem compiling openmsx ( so i can run the first ever RTS - HerzoG! on linux http://www.msxsoft.nl/games.php?search=&start=0&dev=&gid=250&gsort=h)

Help!!!!!!!!!!
i have installed nvidia 1.0.7 driver for mandrake 10.
i was trying to install chmviewer then i got this error while i gave make command.

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.la'
make[2]: ** [chm_viewer] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/eamigo/chm_viewer/src'
make[1]: ** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/eamigo/chm_viewer'

my libGL.la file looks like
# libGL.la - a libtool library file
# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.7 (for use by libtool)

so what is the problem, please help
